Confidence
Gracie Barra helps kids build confidence by teaching them to overcome challenges through effort and perseverance.
As they learn techniques and progress through the ranks, they earn a sense of accomplishment and pride in their abilities.
Our supportive environment on the mats encourages kids to take risks, step out of their comfort zones, and see mistakes as opportunities for growth.

Respect
Our students learn to honor their instructors, training partners, and the history of Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
By working with partners of different skill levels, kids learn to value cooperation, patience, and the effort others put into their growth.
This respect cultivated on the mats naturally extends to interactions outside of Gracie Barra, and shapes our students into more thoughtful and respectful individuals.

Physical Fitness
Children improve their strength, flexibility, and coordination through dynamic drills, technique practice, and sparring.
A typical one-hour class includes:
-
Warm-up drills
-
Technique instruction
-

-

-

Competition
Students in Gracie Barra North Spokane kids' classes have won medals in International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF) and American Grappling Federation competitions.
Competition offers kids a unique opportunity to challenge themselves and grow both mentally and physically. By stepping onto the mat in a formal setting, children build confidence, sharpen their skills, and learn to perform under pressure.
Experiences at competitions not only enhance kids' jiu-jitsu journey but also instill qualities like resilience and determination that benefit them in all areas of life.
